Lowry Farmer's Market


For the second year, the lot at Hangar 2 will be transformed into a marvelous venue for a local farmers’ market. The Hangar 2 Lowry Farmers’ Market is open on Saturdays, June through September, and features Colorado produce, locally made cheeses and breads, artisanal gifts and other micro sourced items.
A total of 18 Saturday market dates are planned this summer. Select weekends will be programmed with various activities and events, including the occasional appearances from the always-popular food trucks.  The Hangar 2 Lowry Farmers’ Market will also work with local non-profits to provide discounted or free booth space to help increase awareness of available programs.

Bash Dash 2012 in Stapleton


DO YOU WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY?

On Saturday, May 5, elementary and middle school children will be able to compete in Bash Dash, a race packed with fun for the whole family!

Children will learn how to problem solve with their peers, stir up creative solutions and make a difference in their communities. After the race, families are welcome to join the post-race breakfast.  

If you would like to participate, you can create a team with up to five members (a mix of kids and parents are allowed with no more than two adults) by choosing a name for your team and registering online! The cost is $25 per team, and teams must raise $150 before the event.  All race proceeds will benefit the Young Philanthropists Foundation. Learn more!

THE SAM GARY BRANCH LIBRARY WILL NOW OPEN AT STAPLETON EARLY AUGUST. CONSTRUCTION BEGAN ON THE NEW LOCATION LAST MAY ... Earth Day in Stapleton


Stapleton will be celebrating Earth Day with an inclusive, fun-filled family event. Bluff Lake Nature Center will host the annual commemoration with live music, recycled crafts, live raptors, family activities, scavenger hunts, guest speakers, food, educational displays and much more!

The celebration will be from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 22. Subaru, FirstBank, TJC Management Services and the Stapleton Master Community Association (MCA) are sponsoring the occasion through a partnership with Stapleton United Neighbors.

Prior to Earth Day, recyclable items will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 21 at the Sam’s Club parking lot in Quebec Square. You can also sponsor the nature center and its environmental work by contacting Jeff Lamontagne ... or companies can contribute silent auction items by emailing the MCA at info@stapletoncommunity.com.

Stapleton Spring Fling


Spring Fling at the 
CentralPark Rec Center

Have you been looking for a way to connect with like-minded friends?  Or have you wanted a group with whom to play bridge, knit and chat?  Put March 21st on your calendar and come to the kick off event for adult activities at the Recreation Center.

All adults are welcome to come to a potluck at
12:30 PM - 3:30 PM in the Recreation Center Multi Use Room.

Bring a dish to share and find others with similar interests to yours.  The day's events will include brief reports about community activities and the opportunity to participate in determining the activities planned for the future adult program.  Some ideas that have been proposed are outdoor activities such as a walking, hiking, biking groups, and indoor activities.  Enjoy a relaxing afternoon of games and crafts or join a music or language group.  Come and weigh in with what activities you enjoy and meet some new friends on March 21st.
